On the morning of December 11, Professor Martin Odening from the Department of Agricultural Economic Management at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany , visited the School of Economics. At the meeting, Dean Jiang Yuansheng first expressed his warm welcome to Professor Martin Odening on behalf of Sichuan Agricultural University. He also introduced him to the basic situation of our school and our department and expressed his desire to further cooperate with Humboldt University in Berlin. On December 11-15, Professor Martin Odening will conduct three academic reports in our school, including topics such as agricultural risk management, land market reform, and the training of doctors in agricultural economics in Germany.
Professor Martin Odening, Ph.D. graduated from the University of Göttingen, Germany. He has more than 20 years of research experience in the field of rural finance and agricultural insurance. He is an internationally renowned expert in agricultural economic research and enjoys an international reputation. Professor Martin Odening is a professor of agricultural economics management at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, head of the farm management project, member of the European Agricultural Economic Review and Agricultural Finance Review Board, member of the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Economic Development, Environmental expert examiner of the German federal environment and Department of Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. Currently, Professor Martin Odening is mainly engaged in agricultural insurance risk management and farm management research. He has published more than 150 papers in internationally renowned journals and has achieved a series of important achievements.
