On the morning of January 6, the first full-time English-language teacher teaching skill improvement training course organized by the School of Economics and the British Education Center was held in Chengdu Campus. Wu Ping, deputy dean of the college, Rachel Anfiled, foreign trainer, Shen Qianling, director of the Department of International Economics and Trade, and the head of the administrative office of the college and the first 16 teachers participated in the opening ceremony.
Wu Ping expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Ms. Anfiled, a trainer from the UK. She gave encouragement and full recognition to the teachers who participated in the training. He said that international schooling is a long-term development strategy of the college. The college actively creates a full-English teaching team. This training is of great significance to the professional development of the college's English-speaking teachers, the improvement of teaching level, and the promotion of internationalization of teaching. I hope that the teachers will cherish the opportunity,study seriously , take up the heavy responsibility of the college in English, apply the training to the actual teaching, promote their professional development, improve the quality of the college personnel training, and promote the school's international education and "double first-class" construction.

After the opening ceremony, the first full-time English teacher training course was officially started. The training program is based on the "teacher's professional development system framework", which is divided into three stages: preliminary demand research, five-day face-to-face training + after-school seminar, and post-course video recording network tutorial. The lectures include English teaching development, role changes with scholars and teachers , listening, speaking, reading and writing, teaching methods, strategies and assessments, classroom and curriculum planning, syllabus and curriculum design, teaching practice: micro-teaching, assessment of teaching skills, etc.
