Professor Wu Ping, Vice Dean of the School of Economics, and Professor Shen Qianling, Director of the Department of International Trade and Economics, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Wu Ping extended a warm welcome to the visit of Ms. Barbara Sun and his entourage, and gave an introduction to the internationalization of our school and the progress of the project. Wu Ping pointed out that in recent years, the college has sent 11 students to participate in the "3+1" undergraduate and master program and the "2+2" double undergraduate program of the University of Essex. One teacher came to Essex as a visiting scholar. University exchange study, the college has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with the University of Essex, and has made positive contributions to the cultural exchanges between China and the UK.
On the basis of the original cooperation, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions on how to further expand the cooperation projects in response to the needs of teachers and students, and initially reached the following consensus. The first is to carry out scientific research salons for teachers and academic lectures for students every semester; the second is to connect with the Humanities Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education for the "2+2" credit mutual recognition dual degree program; the third is to add "3+1" dual undergraduate programs Exchange programs; the fourth is to increase efforts to promote the double master's 1+1+1 program; the fifth is to expand the joint doctoral training program.
Ms. Barbara Sun was very satisfied with the results of this cooperation negotiation.
